Terms of Service

Last updated: June 29, 2026

Welcome to ProPrompt. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ProPrompt ("we", "us", or "our") that governs your use of the website at getproprompt.com, the prompt vault, and any related products or services we offer (together, the "Service"). ProPrompt operates as an independent brand — contact hello@getproprompt.com.

Please read these Terms carefully. They are written in plain English so you can actually understand what you are agreeing to.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By visiting the site, browsing the prompt vault, copying a prompt, or buying ProPrompt Pro, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live (generally at least 18, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms for that organisation.

2. What ProPrompt is

ProPrompt is a free web app that gives you instant access to a curated collection of 2,260+ original, premium AI prompts. The free vault is searchable, includes a fill-in-the-blanks customizer, one-click copy, and "Run in ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini" buttons, and is installable as a Progressive Web App that works offline. The free vault is, and is intended to remain, free.

We also offer an optional paid upgrade, ProPrompt Pro (see Section 5).

ProPrompt is a static website hosted on our static hosting. There is no server-side backend, no user accounts, and no database on our side. A few preferences (such as your recently-used prompts and your theme choice) are stored only in your own browser via localStorage and never leave your device. Optional newsletter sign-ups are handled by a third-party email provider, and our site analytics are privacy-friendly and cookieless. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

3. Your licence to use the prompts

This is the part most people care about, so here it is clearly. Subject to these Terms, you may use the prompts and the outputs they generate freely — including for commercial purposes — in your own work. That means you can:

In short: the prompts are tools, and you are free to put them to work.

4. What you may not do with the collection

The freedom in Section 3 is about using the prompts. It is not a licence to take our collection and turn it into a competing product. To keep ProPrompt sustainable and fair, you may not:

The simple test: use the prompts in your work, yes. Sell or hand out our collection as a product, no.

5. ProPrompt Pro

ProPrompt Pro is an optional, one-time purchase. The launch price is $39 (regular price $49). It grants you a lifetime, single-user licence — meaning it is tied to you, the individual purchaser, with no recurring fee. Pro currently includes:

Pro is a digital product, delivered digitally — there is nothing physical to ship. Your Pro licence is personal to you and is subject to the same usage rules as the free vault: you may use the prompts and their outputs freely in your own work (Section 3), but you may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, bulk-export, or otherwise pass off the collection or the Pro materials as your own product (Section 4). "Lifetime" means for as long as ProPrompt continues to operate the Service; it does not guarantee that any specific feature, format, or bonus will be offered forever.

Payments and refunds. Payments for ProPrompt Pro are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles billing, refunds, and the calculation and collection of sales tax / VAT (including for the US, UK, and EU), and is PCI-DSS compliant. ProPrompt never stores or sees your card details. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's own terms. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy; nothing here removes any mandatory refund or cancellation rights you may have under your local consumer law.

6. Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

You are responsible for how you use the prompts and for any content you create with them.

7. Intellectual property

The curated prompt collection, the website, its design, text, branding, and the "PRO·PROMPT" name are original works owned by ProPrompt, and are protected by copyright and other laws. The licences in Sections 3 and 5 let you use the prompts and outputs — they do not transfer ownership of the collection or the site to you, and all rights we do not expressly grant are reserved.

We make no claim of ownership over the original work you create using the prompts, or over the AI outputs you generate. Those are yours, as far as we are concerned (subject to the terms of the AI provider you used).

8. Independence and third-party AI tools

ProPrompt is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), or Google (Gemini), or any other AI provider. Names such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility — for example, the "Run in ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini" buttons.

When you use a prompt with any third-party AI tool, you are using that tool under its own terms and policies, and you are responsible for complying with them. We do not control those tools, their availability, their pricing, or the outputs they produce, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service available and useful, but we provide it on a best-effort basis. We may add, change, remove, or discontinue features, prompts, or the Service itself at any time. Because the site is hosted on a third-party platform, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service, including the free vault and ProPrompt Pro, is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that any prompt will produce a particular result, or that the AI outputs you generate will be accurate, complete, suitable, or fit for any purpose. You use the prompts and outputs at your own discretion and risk, and you should review and verify anything important before relying on it.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you. Where the law gives you mandatory guarantees that cannot be excluded, those still apply (see Section 14).

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProPrompt will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service or any prompt or output.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid us for ProPrompt Pro in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD $50. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ProPrompt from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or the content you create using the prompts.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or restrict your access if you breach these Terms — for example, by scraping or redistributing the collection. The sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will continue to apply after you stop using the Service. Terminating access does not, by itself, entitle you to a refund of a Pro purchase, except as required by the Refund Policy or applicable law.

14. Governing law and your local rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the competent courts of India will have jurisdiction over any disputes, except where mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

If you are a consumer, this does not take away the mandatory protections and rights you have under the law of the place where you live. For example, customers in the UK and EU keep their rights under GDPR and applicable consumer law, and California residents keep their rights under the CCPA/CPRA. Where local consumer law conflicts with these Terms, that local law wins to the extent it must.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — for instance, when we add features or to reflect legal changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will try to make it more noticeable. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree with a change, please stop using the Service.
