Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
This policy explains what happens to your information when you use ProPrompt. We've tried to write it the way we'd want to read it ourselves: in plain English, without burying anything in legalese. The short version is that ProPrompt is a simple, static website with no accounts and no database of its own, so there's very little about you for us to collect in the first place.
Who we are & how to contact us
ProPrompt (stylized "PRO·PROMPT") is a free web app offering original, premium AI prompts, available at https://getproprompt.com. It operates under the ProPrompt brand â for any data questions, contact hello@getproprompt.com. For the purposes of UK/EU data protection law, ProPrompt is the "data controller" for the limited personal information described here.
If you have any question about this policy or about your information, you can reach us any time at hello@getproprompt.com. We read every message ourselves.
The short version
- ProPrompt is a static website hosted on our static hosting. We have no server-side backend, no user accounts, and no database on our side.
- We collect your email address only if you choose to subscribe to our optional newsletter.
- If you buy ProPrompt Pro, your payment and billing details are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record — not by us.
- We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that count visits in aggregate. We don't track you across the web.
- Preferences like your recently-used prompts and theme are stored in your own browser and never reach us.
- We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising, and we never see your card details.
What information we collect
We keep this deliberately minimal. Here is the complete list:
- Your email address — only if you subscribe. Newsletter sign-up is entirely optional. If you give us your email to receive updates, it is stored by our third-party email provider so we can send you those updates.
- Purchase details — only if you buy ProPrompt Pro. When you make a one-time Lifetime purchase, the checkout is operated by Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your payment information (such as your name, email, billing address, and the tax details needed for your region) as the Merchant of Record. We receive a confirmation that an order was placed so we can deliver your purchase, but ProPrompt never stores or sees your card data.
- Cookieless, aggregate analytics. We use a privacy-friendly analytics service that measures things like how many people visited a page or which prompts are popular. This data is aggregated and does not use cookies or build a profile of you as an individual.
- Browser localStorage that stays on your device. Some of your preferences — such as your recently-used prompts and your chosen theme — are saved using your browser's localStorage. This information lives only on your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else.
What we deliberately do NOT collect
- We do not create accounts or store passwords — there is no login.
- We do not keep any database of users on our side.
- We never see, store, or process your payment card details.
- We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers, and we don't track your activity across other websites.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't build advertising profiles about you.
How and why we use information
We only use the limited information above for clear, practical reasons:
- To send you the newsletter you signed up for, and nothing more. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To deliver and support your ProPrompt Pro purchase — for example, getting you access to the PDF and Notion packs, bonus drops, and lifetime updates, and helping with any order questions.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve which prompts and features we offer.
- To remember your preferences (recently-used prompts and theme) directly in your browser, so the app feels right when you return.
Legal bases under GDPR
If you are in the UK or EU, the law requires us to have a "legal basis" for using your personal information. Ours are:
- Consent — for sending you the newsletter. You give consent by subscribing, and you can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing or by emailing us.
- Performance of a contract — for processing and delivering your ProPrompt Pro purchase when you choose to buy it.
- Legitimate interests — for running privacy-friendly aggregate analytics to keep the site working well and improve it. We've chosen a cookieless approach specifically so this stays light-touch and respectful of your privacy.
- Legal obligation — where Lemon Squeezy, as Merchant of Record, must retain transaction and tax records to comply with applicable law.
Third parties we work with
Because ProPrompt is a small, static site, we rely on a few trusted service providers to make it run. We share only what each provider needs to do its job:
- Lemon Squeezy — our payments processor and Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles billing, refunds, and sales tax / VAT for the US, UK, and EU, and is PCI-DSS compliant. Your card details go to Lemon Squeezy, not to us.
- Our email / newsletter provider — a third-party service that stores subscriber email addresses and delivers the newsletter on our behalf.
- Our privacy-friendly analytics provider — a cookieless service that gives us aggregate visit statistics without profiling individuals.
- our static hosting — hosts the static website. As with any web host, its servers process technical request data (such as IP addresses) needed to serve the site to you.
- Cloudflare — provides DNS for our domain, helping your browser find and reach the site.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies & localStorage
ProPrompt does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics are deliberately cookieless. The only thing we store in your browser is localStorage — small bits of data like your recently-used prompts and your theme preference. This makes ProPrompt installable as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and lets it work offline. localStorage stays on your device, is fully under your control, and you can clear it any time through your browser settings.
Data retention
- Newsletter email: we keep your email address with our email provider for as long as you stay subscribed. When you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, it is removed.
- Purchase records: these are held by Lemon Squeezy as the Merchant of Record, for as long as needed to support your Lifetime access and to meet legal and tax record-keeping requirements.
- Analytics: aggregate, non-identifying statistics may be retained to observe trends over time, but they are not tied to you as an individual.
- localStorage: stays on your device until you clear it. We never hold a copy.
Your rights under GDPR
If you are in the UK or EU, you have the following rights over your personal information:
- Access — ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your information (for example, removing your email from our list).
- Objection — object to a particular use, such as our analytics carried out on the basis of legitimate interests.
- Portability — receive a copy of the information you gave us in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, just email hello@getproprompt.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Your rights under CCPA/CPRA (California)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you and how we use it — all of which is described in this policy — as well as the right to request access to or deletion of that information. To make a request, contact us at hello@getproprompt.com, and we won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Importantly, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. Because we don't engage in that kind of selling or sharing, there is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" activity to opt out of — but you are always welcome to confirm this with us.
International data transfers
ProPrompt is operated from India, and our service providers (such as Lemon Squeezy, our email provider, our analytics provider, our static hosting, and Cloudflare) may process data in the United States, the EU, or elsewhere. This means your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own. Where that happens, we rely on providers that offer appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections — so your information continues to be protected wherever it is handled.
Children
ProPrompt is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us their information (for instance, by subscribing to the newsletter), please contact us at hello@getproprompt.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add a feature or change a service provider. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll do our best to flag them clearly. We encourage you to check back occasionally.
Contact us
If anything here is unclear, or you'd like to make a request about your information, please email us at hello@getproprompt.com. We're happy to help.
